Winners Wear Crowns is a darkly comic monologue, the story of Mississippi pageant mother Patricia Harris Williams and her quest to make her daughter Mandi’s dreams come true. But as her little girl grows up and her dreams begin to involve other things than rhinestones, talent routines and cupcake dresses, can Pat bear to break away from the all-consuming pageant world? It’s an exploration of what we do for our children and what we expect them to do for us.
